New e-mail scam targeting Rotarians

Rotary International has learned about a new e-mail phishing scam targeting Rotarians. (Rotary International ha notado un nuevo e-mail para estafar a los roatrios)

The scam e-mail claims that a deceased Rotarian has left money to the e-mail recipient to be donated to philanthropic efforts. (El correo electrónico reclama que un rotario fallecido dejaría dinero en testamento para que Ud. lo dedique a esfuerzos filantrópicos). The sender, who claims to be the executor of the will, then asks for the recipient’s personal information, including a copy of the individual’s passport and driver’s license, in order to claim the inheritance. (La persona que lo envía, dice ser el ejecutor del testamento y le pedirá información personal, incluyendo una copia de su pasaporte y licencia de conducer, en orden de reclamar la supueta herencia).
