Dear Present and Future Officers of Rotary International:

On behalf of the Executive Committee for the 2008 Past Officers Reunion, I would like to introduce you to another “special” Rotary gathering that is held every year in conjunction with the Rotary International Assembly in San Diego, CA. The meeting is known as the Past Officers Reunion (POR) and I would personally like to invite each one of you to attend our fifth annual event being held at the Omni San Diego Hotel from Wednesday, January 16 through Friday, January 18, 2008.

The goals of the POR are to involve past, present and future officers of Rotary International with Rotary’s current activities and plans for the future. Last year’s event was attended by Rotary International President, RI Directors, The Rotary Foundation Trustees as well as more than 200 past and present RI officers from over 13 countries and 30 states in the USA.

The tentative program for this year will include meetings with RI President Wilfrid “Wilf”
Wilkinson (Canada), RI President-Elect D.K. Lee (South Korea), and RI President Nominee John Kenny (Scotland). In addition, The Rotary Foundation Trustee Chair Bob Scott (Canada) and a number of Trustees will be part of the program. There will also be a wealth of information to be provided by the RI Headquarters staff and these speakers will bring us up-to-date on the latest happenings in our organization.

Registration is US$175 for Rotarians and US$90 for guests. The registration package includes a
reception, an evening banquet with a keynote speaker, House of Friendship, special project displays and two full days of information and motivational speakers. The San Diego Omni Hotel also provides us with a special rate of US$199 per room, per night, with a reservation deadline of December 16, 2007.

The four days following the POR, Rotarians in Southern California and Arizona have also offered
to open their homes for home hospitality stays, if you would be interested.
