Retention of Rotarians: The way to achieve our membership development

by Jose Adolfo Herrera Past RRIMC

We have talked a lot about how we can retain the Rotarians in our clubs, it’s been pointed the need for our weekly sessions are developed properly, that these sessions are fun, full of friendship, with precise shifts of a Rotary meeting.

Another important point is that these sessions are lecturer quality lead to topical issues of interest to all Rotarians.

As important as above that the Rotarians are assigned for specific roles within the organization, that they can feel useful to the institution and the society they live and work.

But we believe that lack the most important of all: The Formation of the Rotarian. Someone said once: You don’t love what you don’t know, and this is a great truth.

We have proposed to undertake a real revolution in the way of preparing our Rotarians, the new ones and the older, including knowledge of Rotary, its philosophy, its history, the Avenues of Service, the Permanent Committees, the new Club Leadership Plan, of how a District and Rotary International works, The Future Vision Plan The Rotary Foundation among many other topics.

When we have Rotarians formed and knowledgeable of our institution, we will have a group of men and women sticking together, working on behalf of Rotary, its growth and strength.

We have the tools to do so, we have access to a wealth of information on our web site: www.rotary.org, and through the Secretariat of RI and its catalog.

Then, simply, let's do it!

Your friend in Rotary,
